Day 1: Welcome to Ko Phi Phi
This trip starts on Ko Phi Phi and there are many ways to get here. After a two to three hour boat transfer from either Phuket or Krabi, you'll glide past Phang-Nga Bay's majestic limestone cliffs to the tropical isle of Ko Phi Phi. The Phi Phi islands - more developed Ko Phi Phi Don and the uninhabited Ko Phi Phi Leh - have become a travel hotspot thanks to their idyllic white sandy beaches, incredibly clear waters and stunning limestone cliff backdrop. You can easily spend several days enjoying Ko Phi Phi Don's island atmosphere. It's the ideal tropical getaway, so if you want to avoid the tourist throngs on Phuket, but want a little more excitement than a deserted island has to offer, Ko Phi Phi is the best of both worlds...
During this Ko Phi Phi trip you'll stay at a centrally located mid-class resort; it's less than a 5 minute stroll away from the soft white sandy shore. How you spend your first day on the island is up to you. There aren't any cars or roads, so the best way to get around is either by boat or on foot. You could take a hike up to a lookout point and enjoy the view of the rest of the island and the Andaman Sea. Later on you can hit the beach, lounge on the sand and sip on a fresh fruit shake. In the evening try browsing and haggling at the island's many small shops, and eat a fantastic fish BBQ for dinner.
Day 2: Ko Phi Phi - Maya Bay
Early the next morning you will be meet by your driver at the boat jetty and head out on to the crystal clear waters to explore the Maya Bay and the fantastic snorkelling in the many coves. First, you'll visit the famous Maya Bay (the location for the film 'The Beach') on the uninhabited smaller island of Ko Phi Phi Leh. Then it's onto Pileh lagoon, a stunning natural pool. On the way back to Phi Phi Don you'll glide past the Viking Cave the make a brief stop at Monkey Beach; as the name correctly suggests you can see some monkeys and a nice little white sand beach and clear water. At certain times of year the routing will change due to weather conditions on the day and you'll need to swim a little to reach some of the more secluded spots.
You will return to your hotel in the afternoon where you will have the rest of the day to spend as you wish, if you are feeling energetic you can climb up to the viewpoint looking over the whole island or sit back and relax with a good book and fruit shake.
Day 3: Ko Phi Phi - Free time
Today you have the day free to explore, there are plenty of shops and stalls here to do a spot of shopping or you can take a longtail boat over to one of the quieter beaches on the island.
If you are feeling energetic there are a whole host of activities available on Ko Phi Phi for you to try. You can hire a kayak and go off under your own steam to explore the small coves, try rock-climbing or take one of the many walks around this pretty island.
